A visual essay on the theme of the arch as specimen for our typeface CRSL Arches.
CRSL Arches is a display typeface inspired by Italian architecture, and in particular by the theme of the arch, an archetypical structure recurring in cities such as Rome, Venice and Bologna. The typeface merges a humanist tradition with a contemporary, almost brutalist aesthetic, resulting in a bold yet elegant display type. Arches comes in one weight, uppercase and lowercase, for a total of 196 glyphs.
